Salomé (Betty Faria), Lorde Cigano (José Wilker), and Andorinha are three traveling performers who cross the country with the Rolidei Caravan, putting on shows for the poorest segments of the Brazilian population who still do not have access to television. They are joined by accordionist Ciço (Fábio Junior) and his wife, Dasdô (Zaira Zambelli), with whom the Caravan travels through the Amazon until it reaches Brasília.
