Zukan with your AI assistant
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant that supports MCP to your Zukan. It logs what you read, watched, played and listened to as you chat, answers questions about your history and writes in your notebooks.
What you can ask for
- "I finished Dune, rating 4.5. Write a short review with what I said."
- "I read up to page 120 of The Hobbit today, about 40 minutes."
- "I want to watch Andor, add it to my list."
- "What science fiction did I read this year, and what did I think of it?"
- "Summarize what I wrote in the Dune notebook and link it to the ecology notebook."
How to connect
Claude (claude.ai or app)
- In Settings > Connectors, add a custom connector with the address https://zukan.me/mcp.
- Zukan opens for you to authorize. Choose whether it only reads or also logs and writes.
ChatGPT
- In Settings > Apps and connectors, turn on developer mode and create a connector with the address https://zukan.me/mcp (OAuth authentication).

Use the address https://zukan.me/mcp with OAuth, or a personal token created in Settings > Tokens.

Can
- Read your collection, your journal, your notebooks and your stats.
- Search titles in the Zukan catalog.
- Set status, rate, write reviews and add tags, if you allow it.
- Log progress, start, finish and timed sessions, if you allow it.
- Create notebooks and write in them. Every change is kept in the notebook history.
Can't
- See other people's data.
- Follow, comment or post in clubs and the community.
- Delete titles, notebooks or your account.
- Change your profile, password or privacy.
You are in control
The assistant only acts when you ask, and only with the permission you gave. In Settings > Tokens you see the connected apps and can disconnect any of them right away.
