Bispera

Reading notes

• Book I is a political thriller; books II and III turn into a prophecy that Paul cannot escape.

• The spice is oil, water is money, and the Fremen economy is the only honest one.

• Paul sees the jihad coming and walks into it anyway.

Things to revisit

• The appendices (ecology, religion, the Bene Gesserit)

• The glossary, to see how much of the world lives only there

Connected notebooks: Ecology as a character, Worldbuilding notes.
